Currently, the service of obtaining a driver's license is in demand among citizens of Ukraine. Among those wishing to drive a car, there are also people with disabilities. That is why driving schools for people with disabilities were created in Ukraine. "Driving schools for people with disabilities" is a flagship project of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, which is implemented within the framework of the "Without Barriers" initiative of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena ZELENSKAYA.
Currently, such driving schools operate and accept applicants in six regions of Ukraine, namely: in Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Odessa and Khmelnytskyi regions.
The advantages of a driving school for people with disabilities and establishing cooperation were the topic of today's meeting at the State Duma. Head of the State Department "TMO of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine for Khmelnytskyi region" Ivan Stupnytskyi with the participation of representatives of the social support of the NSU, the General Directorate of the NSU in Khmelnytskyi region, the General Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Khmelnytskyi region, the National Autonomous State Police of Ukraine, the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Khmelnytskyi City Council, the sector of social protection and support for victims and their family members and a specialist from the Driving School for Persons with Disabilities, which operates in Kamianets-Podilskyi on the basis of a higher education institution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In addition, the wounded who are undergoing treatment and rehabilitation in the institution and have expressed a desire to study in Driving Schools for Persons with Disabilities were invited to the meeting. The participants of the meeting received a lot of useful information regarding the requirements for future drivers, the cost of training and the conditions for receiving professional adaptation services.
