Conducts medical examination in order to determine the health status, physical development and, for certain types of service activities, individual psychophysiological characteristics of candidates for police service, candidates for admission to higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with specific training conditions that provide police training (hereinafter referred to as educational institutions), higher education students of educational institutions, suitability of police officers for further service during promotion, service on a business trip abroad, etc.  Conducts military medical examination to determine the health and physical fitness of candidates for military service under a contract, in the military reserve, candidates for admission to higher military educational institutions of the NGU (hereinafter - HEIs), the degree of fitness of servicemen for military service in connection with their discharge. Establishes the causal link between diseases, wounds, injuries, contusions and mutilations of police officers on duty, discharged from service and those who have been discharged from service, servicemen of the NGU, former servicemen, former rank-and-file and senior officers of the internal affairs agencies (hereinafter referred to as former rank-and-file and senior officers). It establishes the causal connection between diseases, wounds, injuries, contusions and mutilations that caused the death of police officers, military personnel, former police officers, former military personnel, former rank and file officers.
