The war has led to a significant increase in the number of people in need of rehabilitation.
Since 2022, a rehabilitation department has been operating in the hospital (with a polyclinic) of the State Institution "TMA of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kirovohrad Oblast". Thanks to the help of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the rehabilitation department was quickly equipped with sports equipment, exercise machines, and a therapeutic traction table with an electric drive to correct pathological changes in the spine. 
The rehabilitation department provides assistance:
- Wounded defenders of Ukraine
- Patients with injuries and their consequences
- Those with diseases of the nervous system
- Patients with degenerative and dystrophic diseases of the joints and spine
- Patients with diabetes mellitus, hypertension
The department offers:
- Physical rehabilitation: individualized exercise plans, various types of kinesiotherapy, including the use of exercise equipment, massage, physiotherapy.
- Psychological support: psychological counseling, individual psychocorrection.
- Assistance with prosthetics: information about prosthesis manufacturers, necessary documents, support in the process of choosing and receiving a prosthesis.
Important:
- The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor (at least 14 days).
- In complicated cases, rehabilitation can last up to a year (on an outpatient basis).
- The purpose of rehabilitation is to restore the body's functionality as much as possible and reduce limitations in everyday life.
- Classes are conducted by a physical therapist trained in physical medicine at the University of Minnesota, USA.
In 2022-2024, 700 people underwent rehabilitation treatment at the hospital (with a polyclinic), and more than 100 victims received psychological support. Most of them are police officers and servicemen of the National Guard wounded or injured during hostilities. After completing the rehabilitation course, the patients return to service or continue their rehabilitation treatment at the MRC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
