The main tasks of the Center for Psychiatric Care and Professional Psychophysiological Selection are::
- Provision of psychiatric, narcological, psychological assistance, mandatory preliminary and periodic psychiatric and preventive narcological examinations, including for the purpose of military medical examination, to persons entitled to medical care;
- Conducting psychiatric examination, psycho-diagnostic examination, medical psycho-physiological professional selection of candidates for police service and training in educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, transferred for service, dismissed from police service, military personnel of NSU and other persons undergoing medical examination at the military medical commission;
- Ensuring control over the observance of legality and protection of the rights of individuals during the provision of psychiatric, narcological, psychological assistance, conducting medical professional psychophysiological selection;
- Studying the state of mental health of persons entitled to medical care and taking measures to improve it;
- Interaction of the Center with interested services, bodies, institutions, organizations, legal entities inside and outside the department.
The Center for Psychiatric Care and Professional Psychophysiological Selection performs the following functions:
- Conducting psycho-prophylactic work among persons entitled to medical care, promotion of a healthy lifestyle;
- Conducting medical selection based on the state of mental health and professional selection based on individual psychophysiological characteristics of candidates for police service and training in educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, NSU in accordance with administrative documents;
- Organization and conduct of mandatory preliminary and periodic psychiatric and preventive narcological examinations of police officers, military personnel of NSU in accordance with administrative documents;
- Provision of outpatient psychiatric and narcological assistance to persons entitled to medical care, examination of their mental health, diagnosis of mental and behavioral disorders, treatment and supervision in outpatient conditions of persons suffering from mental and behavioral disorders;
- Provision of advisory psychiatric care, if necessary - appointment and treatment of persons suffering from mental and behavioral disorders, who are undergoing examination and treatment at SI "TMA";
- Organization and conducting, in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine, consultative and dispensary registration of persons entitled to medical care;
- Conducting, in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine, a medical examination on temporary incapacity for work for persons undergoing outpatient treatment for mental and behavioral disorders, and organizing the work of the Center's psychiatric medical and advisory commission (LCC);
- Preparation and referral to medical and social expert commissions of medical documents for patients with mental and behavioral disorders for the purpose of examination of long-term or permanent disability;
- Psychological and psychiatric support of policemen, military personnel of the National University of Ukraine during the performance of operational tasks under the conditions of emergency situations of man-made and natural nature, as well as during the protection of public order in conditions of mass riots and conducting mass events in accordance with the requirements of the regulatory and legal acts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine;
- Implementation of the latest technologies, achievements of science, technology and best practices in the work practice of the Center;
- Organization of advanced training of the Center's specialists;
- Conducting meetings, seminars, scientific and practical conferences on issues related to the center's competence, meetings of the Center's Medical Council, etc..
Завдання Центру:Надання психіатричної, наркологічної, психологічної допомоги, проведення обов’язкових попередніх та періодичних психіатричних та профілактичних наркологічних оглядів, в тому числі з метою військово- лікарської експертизи, особам, які мають право на медичне обслуговування;проведення психіатричної експертизи, психодіагностичного обстеження, медичного психофізіологічного професійного відбору кандидатів на службу в поліцію та навчання в закладах освіти МВС України, переміщених по службі, звільнених зі служби поліцейських, військовослужбовців НГУ та інших осіб, які проходять медичний огляд у військово-лікарській комісії;
